Systems verification

Physical architecture and root of trust

Twelve years building resilient network backbones and testing bare-metal appliances. I audit hardware where failure is measured in nanoseconds and physical access breaches.

Systematic mapping of physical patch paths, fiber run radiuses, and rack power distribution to eliminate operational single points of failure.

High-frequency signal probing across PCIe and I2C interfaces to ensure hardware cryptographic modules boot securely without bus interception risks.

Infrared chamber inspection under continuous load cycles, ensuring chassis airflow predictability and low operational mean-time-to-recovery.

Stress verification across multi-vendor optical interconnects using FPGA traffic generators to prove sub-microsecond inspection latency.

Engineering history

From enterprise colocation to perimeter hardware

My career started in regional carrier facilities managing dense fiber switches, high-voltage PDUs, and cold-aisle containment systems. That direct operational friction proved that software reliability depends entirely on physical mechanical precision and deterministic power delivery.

Today, my practice bridges bare-metal infrastructure and appliance-level security. I assist defense contractors and financial institutions in designing custom appliance enclosures, auditing HSM key stores, and hardening edge hardware against physical side-channel extraction.
